Air Conditioning Services at HMG Vehicle Services

HMG Vehicle Services provides professional vehicle air conditioning system services on both R134a and R1234YF systems. Our services include testing, deep cleaning, filter replacement, and regas. Not only does your vehicle’s air conditioning system keep you and your passengers cool during the hot summer months, but it also provides adequate dry air during the winter to demist your windscreen.

Your vehicle’s air conditioning system should not be overlooked, since it is critically important towards the efficient operation of your vehicle as years go by. Every year, about 10% of your air conditioner’s gas permeates from the system, thereby reducing the ability of your air conditioning system to keep you cool as well as forcing the engine to work harder (thus lowering fuel efficiency).

We recommend that you have your vehicle’s air conditioning system serviced every two years for the best performance. Note that this service is typically not included with routine servicing by most garages, so trust the specialists at HMG Vehicle Services for comprehensive air conditioning system services.

Basic Air Conditioning Services

Our basic air conditioning service is a deep clean of your vehicle’s air conditioning system. This service involves the circulation of a specialised cleaning product through the air intakes and venting systems which acts to remove buildups of mould, bacteria, and more from the system. This creates a fresh smell as it neutralises any foul odours from bacteria.

We recommend that you have your vehicle’s air conditioning system cleaned once per year since the pollen filters within the vehicle have a 12-month lifespan.

Air Conditioner Testing & Regas Services

Vehicle air conditioning systems rely on adequate gas pressure in order to circulate cold air when needed. If your air conditioner is not working as it should, it’s possible that the system lacks sufficient gas pressure or the pump is faulty and in need of repair or replacement.

Our team will perform a pressure test first, then regas the system as needed. We will also perform a nitrous oxide test in order to detect any potential leaks within the system.
